Services
Concord Counseling is one of the most highly-acclaimed, nonprofit behavioral health centers in Central Ohio. Based in Westerville and founded in 1972, Concord is dedicated to healing people in mind and spirit with programs and services that change lives.
Our team consists of numerous specialized behavioral health and substance use professionals and we have received the highest rating from CARF, which accredits rehabilitation facilities.

Our services include
Behavioral Health Counseling
Behavioral health counseling provides a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our licensed clinicians work collaboratively with clients to identify challenges, build coping skills, and promote personal growth. Through evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness, we help clients improve their emotional well-being and achieve a higher quality of life.
Psychiatric and Medical Services
Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and registered nurses who have several decades of combined experience in providing psychiatric care. The medical staff ensure that a holistic approach is taken when considering your health needs and work closely with other treatment providers to ensure a comprehensive plan of care.
School-based Programs
Concord clinicians provide prevention services to elementary, middle and high school students in the Westerville, New Albany, Groveport Madison, Granville, and Gahanna-Jefferson school districts. Clinicians work with students to prevent, address and alleviate barriers to school success. Many times, these barriers are related to social and/or emotional struggles. This program includes:
- individual and group services
- crisis intervention
- referral & linkage to community resources
- collaboration and consultation with school staff and parents
- professional development and parent/community education
Senior Support
Our specially trained, mature senior consultants are reliable and friendly. They provide free transportation and support to help fellow seniors maintain their independence and positive outlooks, driving them to the doctor, bank, or grocery. These services are available to seniors that live in these zip codes: 43081 & 43082.
CPST/Case Management
Case Managers assist individual with Severe and Persistent Behavioral Health issues, building life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and shopping. They can assist in applying for eligible financial assistance such as food stamps and social security disability. Assistance in accessing medical services such as Medicaid, Medicare, free clinics, and lower cost medications, and prevent hospitalization by helping clients create a crisis intervention plan before an emergency occurs.
Renew
The renew program is a partnership between Concord, Star House, and Syntero. This program provides services to persons 18-25 following their first behavioral health hospitalization, or at-risk persons engaged with Star House. This program seeks to improve the quality of life for transitional -aged youth through employment, behavioral health counseling, psychiatry, and case management.
Services at Permanent Supportive Housing sites
Concord provides counseling, community engagement activities, life-skills development, and substance abuse treatment to people in central Ohio with a history of behavioral health issues, homelessness and/or substance abuse as they transition from homelessness to living independently. As a partner with the Community Housing Network, Concord helps adults who live in supportive housing find work, maintain their treatment and recovery, and develop community.
Vocational Programs
Vocational programming is designed to provide direct vocational services to the various programs associated with Concord. Services focus on the challenges and opportunities associated with education and vocational development. Program staff will divide their time between direct involvement with consumers, and in community interaction with potential and current employers. From a person-centered approach, staff will assist consumers in identifying their employment/educational goals and offer support as they work towards competitive employment and/or educational/training placement. It is our intention to cultivate employment opportunities, reduce stigma, and raise awareness about working with persons in recovery.
Pathway Clubhouse
Pathway Clubhouse is a community-based program of psycho-social rehabilitation for people who have a behavioral health issue, located at 1203 East Broad Street, Columbus Ohio. Clubhouse members participate in the running of the clubhouse and social activities and often improve their job-related skills.

1221 Art Space
1221 Art Space is a community for artists and recovery. There are studios, exhibits, education, branding, and retail opportunities. We strive to enrich people’s lives through art-making, and to function as a conduit to professional involvement in the art world.

Respite
This program is designed to give a break to caregivers of individuals diagnosed with a behavioral health issue. Respite care can help by providing a short time of rest or relief from the typical care needed. These services can provide socialization for your loved one in their home, or through activities in the community.
