Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders. A psychiatrist has completed medical school (is an MD or DO) and has had an additional four or more years of residency training in psychiatry. Psychiatric nurse practitioners are nurses who have completed advanced training in mental health care and are able to treat mental health conditions in collaboration with a physician. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners are qualified to assess both the psychological and physical aspects that contribute to mental health problems.
Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and registered nurses who have several decades of combined experience in providing psychiatric care. The medical staff ensure that a holistic approach is taken when considering your health needs and work closely with other treatment providers to ensure a comprehensive plan of care.
