Founded by a group of concerned citizens with determination and vision, Concord Counseling Services is a private, non-profit organization. One of Central Ohio’s first community mental health agencies, we’re proud to continue the caring tradition that began over 45 years ago. Our goal is to provide holistic recovery services to increase clients’ personal growth and full participation in society.

We’re a team of more than 100 professionals of comprehensive and specialized mental health and substance abuse counseling professionals and we have received the highest rating from CARF which accredits rehabilitation facilities. As an Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Franklin County lead provider agency, we also perform services for:

Concord’s Strategic Plan

Concord’s Mission:  To provide the best behavioral health services by instilling hope, improving lives and serving with heart.

Philosophy:  We value the human capacity for change and believe in a healthy and vibrant community; we support that belief by providing effective, compassionate, client-centered, responsive and affordable care.

Below is a summary of our goals and objectives:

Goal 1 – Humanize our services and reduce stigma

  • Actions
    • All staff will serve with empathy and will operate with a “person-centered” approach
    • Educate and increase the community understanding of behavioral health/substance abuse by participating in community events
    • Offer a monthly education series to expand the number of people we touch
    • Maintain a welcoming environment by providing education to reduce stigma and normalize our service provision

Goal 2 – Enhance our technology process to increase efficiency and compliance

  • Actions
    • Enhance technology for increased efficiency, determine the best platform for continuing telehealth services
    • Increase the interactive use of our website, and continually monitor and enhance the website for optimum use

 Goal 3 – Raise awareness of Concord’s presence and develop services based on demographics and social determinants of health

  • Actions
    • Focus campaign to raise awareness of Concord to the professional community
    • Utilize annexed sites that are on a bus line for increased access to services outside of Vocational services currently provided. Bring Concord name downtown

Goal 4 – Enhance Concord’s financial position

    • Increase diversity in funding outside of traditional payer sources
    • Expand our footprint and cultivate additional community partnerships
    • Improve access to Pathway & Artspace programs

Goal 5 – Attract and retain a quality workforce

    • Conduct a market analysis for each position annually
    • Manage the Student Loan Assistant Program, and Public Student Loan Forgiveness
